A Weekend away

Over the weekend we had our first weekend away with the Bradley Stoke Elfins. We went over the bridge to the Forest of Dean and stayed at Biblins campsite. A lot of organising went into the weekend but I think everyone came away tierd but happy. Certainly we all did.

 Saturday morning we did some trail laying and went to explore some of the local caves. I;m not sure the bats were to impressed by a group of noisy children.

 The afternoon was spent relaxing on the site. Alex had a go on Daddy's guitar

 Sunday the children went over Biblins Bridge and found some carved wooden seats on the other side.

 Saturday night's campfire. What campfire would be complete without some singing and toasted marshmallows? We also experimented with making campfire toffee apples. I think I need to do some more experimenting with the best way to make the perfect them but the children seemed to enjoy making and eating them.
