The weather is still holding out so I've been out working in the garden as much as possible. The beans, peas and sweet peas are done for the year so I;ve cleared out the vegetable plot and composted the remaining stalks. It looks very bare out there now.
Dan moved the tomatoes round onto the deck where they are getting a last blast of sun. Finally we have ripe tomatoes!
The rainbow carrots Esme planted are still baby carrots, which is to be expected since we grew them in a pot. Very tasty though.
Today I have been removing the rotten blue log edging that surrounds most of the beds in the back garden. Most of it is now out and waiting till I have time later in the week to take it to the tip. The garden actally looks better even without new edging. It looks like we won't be getting the lawn redone this year though, it's a bit late now. Hopefully in spring we will be ready.
I've also been pruning the large privet bush. My previous experience of privet is limited to using a hedge cutter, this one is rather overgrown so I've been attacking it with a bow saw!
