The last weekend we've had wonderful weather, not a cloud in sight. Obviously time to get outside and enjoy the garden.
Alex though hiding was best
Esme got creative.
We spent some more time with loppers and a bow saw doing some heavy duty pruning. We took out dead branches form a couple of trees and filled the green bin with dead leaves and weeds.
Daniel unwittingly started a new hobby. We've were had the little BBQ out on Saturday and Daniel was gathering some twigs and snapping them into short pieces with the intention of keeping a fire going after we'd finished cooking. Esme was asking "why are you doing that Daddy" "Everyone needs a hobby" he replied. After sitting round the fire for a while we told the kids it was bedtime, Esme said "I think Mummy should take us to be tonight so Daddy can do his Hobby"
The vegetable plot is looking good, the French beans are looking OK and the Runner beans have joined them in the ground.
We were also given a couple of raspberry canes so we've decided to have a soft fruit bed out by the garage. Hopefully they will get enough sun there. For now they are all in pots waiting for more gravel to be moved.
