Moving Up Morning

This morning was moving up morning at school. The current children spent their morning in their new classrooms with their new teachers. Esme seems quite excited to be moving upstairs and is quite pleased to be keeping one of her teachers from this year.

The new reception children also went in for the to spend the morning in their new classroom. Alex is pleased that he gets to be a caterpillar like Esme was.

We decided to do the whole thing properly and try out his new school clothes.

The morning went reasonably well as far as I can tell. He went in without much fuss, but hasn't told us much about what they did. He did say all the children had their photos taken but he wouldn't!

I enjoyed a peacefull couple of hours at home with a cup of tea before carrying on with my bathroom project. The sink and the bath are now both resealed so it was mostly clearing up and trying to remove paint spots from the floor. I would like to add that I didn't drip the paint, it was there when we moved in.

After school was our Woodcraft end of term picnic, unfortunately it's been a rather wet evening. Still the children seemed to have fun in the rain and there was just about enough shelter under the trees for those of us who prefered to stay dry. We were even joined by a pretty brave squirrel.
